Strawberries with Basil, Balsamic and Maple Syrup

2 cups of fresh strawberries
1 tablespoon of maple syrup
1 tablespoon of balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon of sliced or hand torn fresh basil leaves
¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- Cut strawberries in 1/4s lengthwise, set aside
- Mix all other ingredients, add strawberries, mix well and let them sit for about 10 minutes.
- Serve as a palate cleansing or a light after dinner dessert.
